Christmas 2010 Part 2

They may not look it, but yes, these are two very excited little 3 year olds on Christmas morning...

Tell me that is not a face of pure excitement. Just exactly what she wanted...

And here is that pink guitar, just what she asked Santa for...

Which she has not put down since Christmas morning... She is totally rockin'.

 

So I was so consumed by Avah Christmas morning, and her pure excitement, I didn't get one pic of Derek, What kind of mother am I? Seriously... This is the best I got. But it's the two of them, the loves of my life. Oh and how much does she love her little brother! 

Christmas 2010

WOW! Is Christmas really over? I can not believe how fast the month of December went. The anticipation of Christmas was so fun this year. Avah is at the age of understanding the magic of this wonderful holiday! She finally was ready to visit Santa, there was no crying, or frightened three year old, just a happy excited little girl, ready to tell Santa she wanted a pink guitar. 

Avah brought home reindeer food with sparkle dust to to help the reindeer keep up their strength to fly. She has been waiting to sprinkle this on the lawn for the last two weeks. She was so excited to go out and finally do it!! Later that evening when we got home from our xmas eve party, she walked right out to see if it was still there. She couldn't see it anymore - SHE PANICKED. She immediately ran up to her room and said, I have to go to bed, I have to go to bed. Santa has already been here... It was pretty funny! Love this girl.

One of my favorite traditions is Christmas Jammies. I LOVE this. This year my cute nephew Jack got to spend Christmas with us. It was so fun to have two little three years olds running around getting ready for Santa to come!

Let it Snow, Let it Snow, Let it Snow!!

We got dumped on this last weekend, it literally did not stop snowing. It was absolutely beautiful!! Avah is loving it! Vin took her out on Saturday morning to play in the first big snow storm. She looked so cute!! Just love this girl!!

Welcome to Louie's Luau!

We had a fabulous time this weekend celebrating Avah turning 2! The party theme was a luau - very fitting for my little girl... Once again I am find myself blogging at 6:55 in the morning, when I should be getting ready to work. So I am going to upload a few pics and then finish tonight!

Happy Birthday Avah!

My sweet baby girl turned 2 today! I can not believe I have a two year old! This morning we let her open up two gifts, one was her birthday outfit and the other was The Missing Link which is a character from Monsters vs. Aliens! She loves these characters. Yes, my two year old pushes monsters around in the stroller, not a baby!! I love it! Here are few pics from this morning. More to come...

I'M TWO MOM!

Avah says the “smartest” things....

So! Today is her birthday, yes she is two! I can not believe I have a two year old. She honestly is the smartest thing in the world. I wanted to quickly post a few things she has said recently... since I am at work, I will post another post later with pics of her this morning opening one of her presents!!

Avah comes into our room in the middle of the night 90% of the time. Last night was no different. The time varies, it's usually around 3, but last night she came in at 4:11 (she was born at 4:16 am) I heard her struggling in the hall, so I got up to meet her, sure enough there she was struggling with her pillow, bear and blanket... so I knelt down to help her, and before I picked her up I said “Happy Birthday Avah!” her response. “I'M TWO!!” It was seriously the cutest thing ever. Then off to mom's bed we went!

Every morning Vinny takes her to day care, and every morning she says “mom go?” no honey, mom isn't going, and then she cries and cries. Well since it was her birthday I wanted to take her, I made cupcakes last night for her to bring, so I wanted to take them to Melissa (her babysitter) So obviously Avah was just as happy as can be. When we got to Melissa's we walked in two a bunch of yellow and pink balloons! Avah was so excited, it was so cute. Melissa and her kids walked in and said “hi lou lou! happy birthday!” Avah's response, “HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO ME, HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO ME!! (in perfect tune.) Then she says “I'M TWO, I'M TWO!!” Now really is it just me, because she is my daughter, or seriously, is that not the smartest thing. I am going to go with that is just the smartest thing... What two year old does that... oh right! MINE!! So I just wanted to share... mostly so I don't forget, and one day if I ever get her baby album done, I can put these stories in them!!

Bumps, Bruises and Band Aides

I think this summer is going to be full of falls, scrapes, bumps and bruises... Avah seems to fall at least once every time we are outside playing! Her latest fall consisted of a face plant... She gets so excited and goes to fast for her little legs... which leads to many many falls... The first nice day this year she fell and scraped both her knees within ten minutes of each other, so so sad. She is tough though, cries for a minute, needs soothing from her mommy, and up she goes! It's going to be a great summer, I just need to make sure I stock up on band aides!! and pray we have no emergency room visits!
